- I am a student at Texas A&M University and, while studying communication and journalism, am currently taking a political blogging course. I am planning to graduate in May 2011 and go into a career involving writing. I was never very interested in politics, but I have always wanted to be more aware and active in politics. I felt that taking this course might help to increase not only my awareness of the political world, but also my interest and activity in it. To make my transition into politics a little easier on myself, I have chosen to focus on an area that already interested me - environmental and humanitarian issues.
